CPR for the Professional Rescuer/ AED and First Aid Basics -
Review-Certification Course
Successful completion of this class will renew certification for individuals
who
possess current CPR for the Professional Rescuer and/or First Aid
certifications. This class is not intended to re-teach skills; rather it is
designed to address the higher points of the course and test participants’
knowledge and skills. Individuals who do not wish to renew their First Aid
certification do not need to stay for the last hour of the class.
Pre requisite: Proof of current CPR/PR/AED and/or First Aid Certification.
Length of class: 8 hours
Course Cost: $80 members / non-members
Waterfront Lifeguarding / Lifeguarding Class
This course teaches the skills necessary to guard at an aquatic facility.
Successful participants will receive CPR for the Professional Rescuer,
Lifeguard
Training and First Aid certifications. Absence from any class will result in
a
failure of the course and forfeiture of the registration fee. Instructors
are
not permitted to make up missed material with participants. New Lifeguard
Training books and pocket masks are provided to class participants on the
first
day of class.
Pre requisite: minimum age for course enrollment 15 years old. Participants
must
swim 550 yards continuously, consisting of 200 yards freestyle, 200 yards
breaststroke and 1500 yards freestyle or breaststroke. Additionally, they must
swim 20 yard swim retrieve a 10-pound brick from 7-10 feet of water and swim
the
brick 20 yards back to the side of the pool (timed), underwater swim 3 ring
retrieval.
Length of class: 38 hours.
