Dates and Times:  January 3rd - June 12     Thursdays from 4:30-6pm at the JCC Auditorium

This seasons June 12th at 5 pm performance will be Big Bad Musical, the Big Bad Wolf on trial!!!

Open to all (grades 2-6) who are interested or just plain curious about musical theater. Shirley Arensberg, Director of Education for Park Playhouse and retired Albany City School District teacher will oversee "Park Playhouse Kidz". The staff will consist of veteran Park Playhouse and Park Playhouse II staff and performers.

For preschool children ages 3 - 5 years old. Participants will learn the basics of Hebrew through fun songs and games. Class taught by Miriam Shor, JCC Center Camps Judaic Programming Director and teacher in the Albany School District. Open to members and non members.

Class runs Tuesdays from 3 to 3:45 pm, April 22 to June 17 in E.C. Room #18. No Class on June 10th.

Get fit before the summer begins! Kids ages 7 to 12 will join Gabi Shoemaker, Director of ASH Afterschool in fun and energetic physical activities.

Class runs Mondays and/or Wednesdays (one or two class per week option available) from April 23 to June 23. Mondays class will be from 6 to 7 pm and Wednesdays class will run from 6:45 to 7:45 pm each week. There is no class on May 26 and June 9. Limit of 15 participants.

Yoga Kidz (NEW!!!)

For ages 7 to 12 years old, participants will learn the basics of yoga exercise. Kids will feel confident and energized before summer camp begins. Class run by Gabi Shoemaker, ASH Afterschool Director.

Tuesdays, April 22 to June 17 from 6:30 - 7:30 pm. No class on June 10th.

Private Music Lessons

Cheryl Matott, trained Music Specialist and Clarinetist from Tony's Polka Band is offering a six week session of private woodwind instruction (Clarinet, Flute, and Saxophone lessons) for ages 8-16 years.

*BYOI (Bring Your Own Instrument) - Held in E.C. Rooms #17

April 7 - June 17, lessons scheduled on a first come, first serve basis. Makeup Date is June 23.

No class from 4/14, 4/15, 4/21, 5/26, 6/9, 6/10.

Schedule your child's 45 minute lesson at the JCC Monday to Wednesday between the hours of 5 pm to 8 pm

Cheryl holds an A.S. in Performing Arts: Music from Schenectady CCC and a B.S. in Music Education from the College of Saint Rose.

Acrylic Landscape Painting

Nora Gibson, trained art specialist, will show participants how to use acrylic paints to create their very own amazing work of art. For ages 5 years and up. Class is limited to 20 participants. Held in E.C. Room #18.

April 7 - June 17 on Mondays from 6:15 to 8:15 pm at the JCC. Makeup date on 6/23.

No class on 4/14, 4/21, 5/26, 6/9.

Little Dragons (Tae Kwon Do Lessons)

Robert Esposito of Capital Northeast Tae Kwon Do will instruct your child in the basics of Tae Kwon Do martial arts. A great physically active program for kids ages 4-5 years old during the spring.                  Each Child will receive a free uniform! Class is limited to 15 participants.

April 25 - June 13 on Fridays 1:15 to 2 pm in the JCC Auditorium.

Hola-La (Spanish Language Lessons)

For Children Ages 3, 4, & 5

Participants will be introduced to the Spanish Language in a classroom setting through music, puppets, stories, and play. Limit per class is 12 kids. Held in E.C. Room #18.

Wednesdays, April 23 - June 11 from 1:15 to 2 pm.
